The Course
will begin at the Joseph Hancock Park, just off Main Street in
the historic town of Hancock. The out-and-back course allows
participants to run west on the Western Maryland Rail Trail
approximately 6.5 miles, turnaround and complete the race near
the start.
Awards
will be given to the first overall female and male
finisher and the top three finishers of the half marathon in the
following female and male age categories: 19 & under; 20-29;
30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+
Important Details:
All pre-registrants are guaranteed a long-sleeved
t-shirt.
Race day registration welcome.
A limited number of t-shirts will be available to late
registrants.
Awards presentation and refereshments follow race.
5K walk participants will receive t-shirts.
Musical devices not permitted to ensure the safety of everyone
using the Rail Trail.
Participants must be courteous of others on the Rail Trail.
Well-behaved pets permitted with leashes on the trail, but not
in vehicles.

Directions
from the Interstates: From 70 Eastbound, take
Exit 1 and from I-68 take Exit 82A. From 70 Westbound take Exit
3 or from I-68 take exit 82A.
Parking:
Race Participants may park in
the Hancock Station Parking, which provides access to the
Western Maryland Rail Trail. From this parking lot, walk west
down Main Street approximately 1/3 of a mile to the Joseph
Hancock, Jr. Primitive Park where the registration area will be
set up.
Additional parking is available behind Weaver's
Restaurant, which is located at 77 West Main Street.
